The best in easy listening sounds and timeless standards including tonight's featured album, Rah!. Released in 1961 this was singer Mark Murphy's breakthrough album. After a couple of false starts with Decca and Capitol, Mark moved to Riverside Records where he teamed up with arranger Ernie Wilkins for a collection of jazz standards that were the perfect platform for Mark's sound and style. The featured titles include On Green Dolphin Street, Doodlin' and No Tears For Me. Moira also marks the centenary of jazz giant Dizzy Gillespie's birth on the 21st of October 1917 with a selection of his compositions performed by Dizzy himself, Ella Fitzgerald and Cuban trumpet star, Arturo Sandoval.
