Helen puts her foot down, and Adam makes a friend.

Tom and Helen discuss Roy's imminent recruitment of a new restaurant manager. Tom observes his relationship with Lexi is the only thing keeping Roy sane at the moment. Adam arrives to take reluctant Henry off for their outing. Tom jokingly hopes the experience won't put Adam off children for life. But the trip is a great success, to the relief of both Adam and Helen.
Susan proudly reports to Clarrie that Emma has all her signatures for her Parish Council application. Clarrie hopes Emma will manage it with all her other commitments. With their own Bridge Farm workload increasing, Susan checks Clarrie's on board and puts her plan of campaign into action. She makes a big deal of the work with the kefir in Helen's presence, all the while reassuring concerned Helen that all the other work will get done - eventually. Tom's delighted with all the attention being lavished on the kefir. But frustrated Helen points out it's at the expense of their regular products; everything's getting hopelessly behind. Tom needs to do something about it, and quickly. Gleeful Susan and Clarrie hear the noises off, and continue to work as Tom approaches. As he offers them an increased hourly rate to reflect the workload, it's job done. Clarrie's impressed. Susan airily points out the first rule of management. Manage upwards.
