6 Music Live 2017

Lauren introduces alt-J on day three of 6 Music Live. The band's latest album RELAXER was nominated for the Mercury Prize and described as "poignant, ominous and magical.".

Lauren introduces alt-J live at the 麻豆约拍's Maida Vale studios on day three of 6 Music Live.

The band first performed at Maida Vale, in a 2011 麻豆约拍 Introducing Session for Steve Lamacq, when they were still a four-piece.

They return as a trio (Joe, Gus and Thom), having picked up the Mercury Prize for their debut album, and picked up another nomination for 2017's RELAXER. It was described by the panel as an "enthralling sonic concept album - poignant, ominous and magical."

The week of live music continues tomorrow with Loyle Carner, before concluding with Robert Plant.
