This week, Helen goes to the Summer School of Traditional Music, there are readings by James Fenton, and Viper Central play their new song celebrating Catherine O'Hare.
Helen Mark goes to the first Belfast Summer School of Traditional Music to discover what part piping, drumming and fifing are playing at it, with some help from Willie Hill and famed piper Allan MacDonald. To mark the publication of a new edition of his collected poems, there are readings from his work by leading Ulster-Scots poet James Fenton. And in a special recording for Kist, British Columbia bluegrass band Viper Central perform their new song celebrating Catherine O'Hare of Rathfriland, who crossed the Rocky Mountains on foot in the 1800s.
