Episode 1 of 12

Featuring historic reports on important island buildings in urgent need of maintenance; and a debate around crofting villages.

Bho mheadhan nan 80an bha am prògram telebhisein Prosbaig a' sgrùdadh chùisean na Gàidhealtachd 's nan Eilean, agus Alba san fharsaingeachd. Tron t-sreath seo, tha am fear-naidheachd Dòmhnall Moireasdan a' toirt sùil air ais tron tasglann agus a' toirt thugainn taghadh de na sgeulachdan a chaidh a chraoladh eadar 1984 agus 1988. Anns a' phrògram seo: mar a chaidh uachdaran is croitearan a-mach air a chèile anns na Hearadh; toglaichean eachdraidheil nan eilean a' tuiteam às a chèile; agus deasbad mu chùil-cinn bhailtean croite.

From the mid 1980s, Gaelic current affairs television series Prosbaig covered many of the main stories making headlines in the Highlands and Islands and throughout Scotland. Journalist Donald Morrison takes a look back through the archive and brings us some of the key stories from 1984 to 1988.

In this programme: unrest between landowner and crofters in Harris; a number of historic island buildings in urgent need of maintenance; and a debate around crofting villages.
