The British Open Championships
All the music and conversation from Symphony Hall as Frank Renton visits the oldest brass band competition in the world, the 165th British Open Brass Band Championship.
The British Open Brass Band Championship is one of the bands world's most coveted prizes. Last Saturday it welcomed 17 of the best bands playing to a capacity house in Symphony Hall and Frank Renton has all the music and conversation as bands such as Grimethorpe, Black Dyke and Brighouse and Rastrick are joined by the 2016 Swiss Champions The Valaisia Brass Band to play the critically acclaimed Fraternity by Thierry Deleruyelle.
