Jamie Cullum's guest is the drummer and songwriter Richard Spaven who talks about his jazz roots in Take 5.

Jamie Cullum presents a programme showcasing his love for all types of music rooted in jazz, from its heritage to its future.

This week, his guest is Richard Spaven, one of the UK's most in-demand drummers and songwriters who has played with the likes of Goldie, The Cinematic Orchestra and Jose James, amongst many others.

He talks about his experience hearing jazz for the first time, introduces one of his favourite new musicians and talks about his recent album The Self, which features the likes of Jordan Rakei.
