The public should stop giving money to beggars, according to a leading Scottish business figure who says they are putting shoppers off visiting city centres and damaging trade. Stuart Patrick, chief executive of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, has said that beggars are putting shoppers off visiting city centres and having a serious impact on businesses.
