Plastic-free July; Cosmetic surgery finance; Airbnb
The shoppers rejecting plastic for a month; 'buy now pay later' cosmetic surgery; Airbnb responds to customer complaints about reviews.
90% of adults in a poll support the idea of a 'plastic-free aisle' at the supermarket. At the end of "Plastic Free July" - as the campaign is known - we talk to those who have signed up to reject single-use plastics for a month.
A leading cosmetic surgeon has told You & Yours that private hospitals should stop using 'buy now pay later' offers to attract new patients. All six of the main hospitals advertise interest free finance on their websites. Patient Sam Barton from Birmingham tells us how he racked up thousands of pounds in debt after taking out loans for surgery.
Plus Airbnb responds to its customers' complaints and changes the system for leaving reviews. Customers have been prevented from writing reviews if they ended up not staying at the property, or cutting the trip short. It has meant that those most disappointed have not been able to give feedback.
