Call You & Yours - how have eating disorders affected you and your family?

Eating disorders, such as anorexia or bulimia, are common. They affect hundreds of thousands of people in the UK and can have a really damaging impact on your life and on your family.

They can affect you physically, psychologically and socially. They are often blamed on the social pressure to be thin, as young people in particular feel the need to look a certain way. But there are lots of other factors that can contribute. Eating disorders can affect people of any age. They are more common in women, but an investigation by the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Panorama found that over the past two years, the number of men and boys treated for eating disorders has nearly doubled.

Whatever your age or gender, on Call You & Yours, we want to hear your experience. Tell us how eating disorders have affected you and your family.

Email youandyours@bbc.co.uk and don't forget to leave us a phone number so we can get back to you. From 11.00 am on Tuesday 25th July, you can call us direct on 03700 100 444, and join us on Radio 4 at 12.15pm.
