Tonight's programme Bruno includes the beautiful and simple Humming Chorus from Madam Butterfly by Puccini alongside Verdi' most extravagant score calling for a cast of horses, camels and elephants - Aida. There are also excerpts from Porgy and Bess by Gershwin, Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni and La Wally by Catalani

Amongst the great operatic voices featured are Leontyne Price, Bryn Terfel, Montserrat Caballe and Dame Joan Sutherland.
