Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Cardiff Singer reaches the halfway mark as the search to discover the next opera star continues. Tim Rhys-Evans is at St David's Hall to introduce highlights of each performance.

Contestants from the USA, England, Ukraine, Turkey and South Africa perform a range of famous arias by composers including Mozart, Puccini and Verdi.

Soprano Elin Manahan Thomas and baritone David Kempster analyse the singers' performances and their repertoire choice. Josie D'Arby meets up with jury member and world-renowned American mezzo-soprano Grace Bumbry at one of the festival's fringe events.
