Since it's launch, on St David's Day in 2001, the has carried out over 26,000 missions. Despite the landscape here in Wales it can guarantee to reach 95% of the population within 30 minutes and is absolutely vital for the farming industry and everyone who lives or visits rural Wales and might find themselves in need of urgent medical attention. There are 3 bases for the service in Wales and Rachael Garside visits the latest addition - a purpose-built facility at Dafen, near Llanelli.
