Bridge Farm's secret is out, and Pip faces difficult questions.
Tony drops off his Fordson tractor at Brookfield for Josh's display for Open Farm Sunday. Josh is making use of the opportunity to promote Ambridge Farm Machinery. David wonders if there is any truth in the rumour that Justin plans to build a massive housing estate at Bridge Farm. That's nonsense assures Tony who then leaves in a hurry. Bridge Farm is also busy with Open Farm Sunday visitors, but Tony wants to find the source of the rumour. Pat thinks Susan might have overheard her and Tom.
Pip finds that her worries about the IBR ruining the day were largely unfounded. Most people still know Brookfield for its beef and lamb. Jim asks some tricky questions about the impact of Brexit on farming subsidies, but Pip is optimistic about the future.
At Bridge Farm, Helen gets some ghoulish enquiries about her arrest and time in prison, but she deals with it admirably. Jim quizzes her about the proposed housing development. Helen also rejects the idea of a big development, but can't wholly deny that Justin has offered to buy Bridge Farm land. The uncertainty over the sale puts the family in a difficult position when questions are asked but Tony is still undecided. Helen points out that Justin won't wait forever.
