The The's Matt Johnson talks about the Edinburgh International Film Festival retrospective of his work, including new feature-length film The Inertia Variations.
Janice hears about Cosmic Collisions, Birth, Rebirth and the Universe, an exhibition featuring new work which brings together artist Charles Jencks, cosmologists Carlos Frenk and Noam Libeskind and architect Daniel Libeskind.
Submarine Time Machine- will be the first participatory production from the NTS since they moved to their home in Rockvilla on the Forth and Clyde canal. Director Simon Sharkey explains how he and his team are using sound installations, dance, sculpture, football, choirs, music, virtual reality and a mini submarine to tell the story of the canal in this free event for the community.
The Refugee Festival Scotland is in full swing, celebrating the contribution refugees make to Scotland's cultural life. This week is also Refugee Week across the UK so what better time to leaf through two new books about the refugee crisis; one a picture book for small children which won its author the prestigious V&A Student Illustration Award, the other a graphic novel for adults depicting its creator's experiences volunteering in the Jungle Camp in Calais?
