The Labrador has been the most popular dog in the UK for almost three decades, but according to the Kennel Club by the end of next year its place could well be taken by a breed of flat-faced dog - the French Bulldog. They've become a sort of fad - but veterinary experts say that the craze for these 'designer' dogs is helping to create dogs with painful deformities. The Â鶹ԼÅÄ’s Claire Marshall reports.

Nineteen-year-old Lillian Constantine was making her way home from an evening out, when Ashraf Miah attempted to rape her. Lillian recorded the incident on her phone, which led to the conviction of Miah. We spoke to Lillian in her first broadcast interview.

In the old tradition of baking ‘Election Cake’ people would make huge cakes that voters could eat to sustain themselves after travelling long distances to polling stations. We have had somebody bake us their own interpretation of the cake.
