20 years of Harry Potter, Ruth Madoc in The Wedding Singer and the Fringe Festival launch

Janice's Book Group discusses Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone to mark 20 years of Harry Potter, plus Janice talks to Ruth Madoc and hears about the Fringe Festival launch.

20 Years of Harry Potter: The Janice Forsyth Book Group meets to discuss the book that started the Potter Phenomenon: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. We'll also be hearing from Lindsey Fraser, who wrote the first ever review of the book, for The Scotsman in 1997, and from Roz de la Hey who worked on the Bloomsbury marketing team tasked with getting the book out into the world.

Ruth Madoc (Gladys in Hi-De-Hi) and her co-stars in the musical The Wedding Singer, currently touring the UK, talk to Janice ahead of their Scottish dates in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness.

The Fringe Festival launched its programme this morning; as the festival reaches 70 years of age Janice talks to Shona McCarthy, Chief Executive of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, and Karen Koren from the Gilded Balloon talks about the venue's brand new home, The Rose Street Theatre.
