No half measures
We give it a hundred per cent here at Science CafΓ©. So when we heard about the Pint ofΒ Science project, where the latest research is taken out of the lab and into the pub, we quickly decided that a studio recording just wouldn't do. So it was off to The Old Market Tavern in Cardiff City Centre to record in a very convivial atmosphere. Of course pubs have always been a popular venue for talking politics and sport. Next week in the capital, they will be the lively setting for someΒ fascinating chats about invasive species, programmable DNA, the latest cancer research - and of course why CO2 is essential to your pint. It's all been organised by Cardiff UniversityΒ PhD students, with the support of top teaching staff. There's full on details of all events and venues on the link to Pint of Science on this page. In the meantime, we're off to carry out a little research of our own at the bar...
