Jane Eyre, The Red Shoes and Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5 live in session

Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte's coming of age story that also critiques Victorian attitudes towards gender and social class, was first published 200 years ago. Fittingly for such an impressive anniversary, the National Theatre stage adaptation of the novel is currently on a 21 date national tour and opens in Scotland next week. Jane and Rochester will be in studio.
Matthew Bourne's 20 year ambition to produce a ballet version of The Red Shoes has finally come true and his production is currently coming to the end of a 21 date national tour. It's just arrived in Scotland and Nicola meets the stars taking on the legacy of the Powell and Pressburger film and the Hans Christian Anderson fairytale.
The Glasgow Women's Library is holding its first ever literary festival featuring Val McDermid, Maggie O'Farrell, Kirsty Logan, Leila Aboulela, Jo Clifford and many others - we'll hear what's been lined up and why the library wanted to branch out into the festival scene.
Nicola meets debut authors Gail Honeyman and Olivia Sudjic.
