Farid, a Syrian poet and university lecturer, is trying to adjust to his 'new life' in Edinburgh. Unable to work as a lecturer he has taken a temporary job as a service manager for a letting company. While he is enjoying the beauty of Edinburgh and a new relationship, the conflict in Syria is never far from his thoughts. News from home grows increasingly worse as he hears of a young cousin badly injured. Should he return to try and help?
