Heard of the concept of downshifting? It might sound vaguely familiar; perhaps to do with a bit of decluttering and downsizing. But it's much more radical than that. It's a shift to a lower pace; you turn down the consumerist urge and turn onto the green economy. Richard is joined by Mike Small, founder of the Fife Diet, and Quaker and writer Alastair McIntosh.
The use of genetic testing to discover more about ourselves has grown in the last decade. But how well-prepared are we to deal with this new information about ourselves? Richard talks to Dr Sarah Chan, Chancellor's Fellow in Bioethics at the University of Edinburgh; and Dr Lorraine Cowley, Principal Genetics Counsellor at Newcastle University to discuss some of the ethical questions raised by the rapid growth in genetic testing.
