BSL on the National Curriculum

Topical magazine series for deaf and hard-of-hearing people. Clive Mason investigates the arguments for and against BSL being taught more widely.

Clive Mason investigates the arguments for and against BSL being taught more widely. Despite several petitions over the years and the recognition of British Sign Language as a language, the government has not included it as a subject which can be taught on the national curriculum, and it is only taught in a fraction of schools around the UK.

Also on the programme, Memnos Costi grabs his smartphone and tries out some of the latest apps making deaf lives easier, and Maab and Lynn are in the studio with the regular round-up of stories from around the UK.
