New research by the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ suggests that every day in England more than 900 care workers leave their jobs. Staff turnover in the care sector is 27.3%, double that of other sectors.
According to data held by the social care charity Skills for Care on 54,000 carers, 60% of those who left their jobs last year left the sector altogether.
The numbers of care workers leaving their jobs has increased in the last four years, the regions with the highest turnover are the South East and North West of England.
