Former Blue Peter presenter and novelist Janet Ellis shares her 70s memories, including seeing David Bowie live and why training as an actor helped kickstart her television career.

It was a momentous decade for Janet: in 1970, Janet was still at school, dreaming of a life in the theatre, but by 1979 she was working in television, married and already a mother to a certain Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
