Presenter John Urquhart guides learners through the intricacies of Gaelic language, dialects, idioms and sayings. In this week's programme beginners can enjoy Blasad Beag, a bite-sized lesson in which Catriona Murray shares simple, everyday Gaelic.

For more advanced learners, grammar help is on hand from the programme's resident expert Dr Michel Byrne, and Roddy Maclean takes a closer look at some of Scotland's Gaelic placenames.

This week's programme also features Â鶹ԼÅÄ archival materials which are used to illustrate some of the complexities of the language and an interview with learner of the week, Richard Ross, who shares his experience of learning Gaelic.
