Chris Stark travels to Japan to witness the sacred "Hadaka Matsuri", which translates literally as "The Naked Man Festival."
Naked festivals are held all over Japan throughout the year, but originate from the Saidaiji Temple in Okyama - the place Chris is heading for. Over 9,000 men usually participate in the hope of gaining luck for the entire year to come.
Teamed up with an experienced festival friend, Chris has 48 hours to immerse himself in everything Hadaka Matsuri has to offer, including meeting a Monk, pre drinks with the "lads" and squeezing into a loin cloth. This ancient festival involves throwing sacred wood into a temple of fighting naked men and can be extremely dangerous, with some participants ending up bruised, broken and even dead in the search for enlightenment.
Will Chris risk it all and don a loin cloth to take part in this extreme tradition?
