It's Film Day and Janice has a review of Mad to Be Normal, a film about controversial Scottish psychiatrist RD Laing, plus she hears from the star of the film, David Tennant.

It's Film Day, we'll review the much anticipated Mad To Be Normal - it's about the world-renowned, controversial, Scottish psychiatrist RD Laing, and hear from the star of the film himself, David Tennant.

Regular Critics, Nigel Floyd and Wendy Lloyd will share their thoughts on it, and on this week's other big cinema releases: including Life - a murderous-alien-on-a-spaceship movie, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and The Lost City of Z - based on the true story of explorer Percy Harrison Fawcett, who was determined to unearth what he believed was an Amazonian 'El Dorado.' We'll also hear from the star of the film Charlie Hunnam.

Later in the show, Anchorage, Alaska born singer and songwriter, Earl, who grew up living in a gas station and singing gospel in her local church choir, will tell us about her upcoming live appearance in Scotland, and we'll discuss this year's Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 6 Music Festival when Janice will speak to Gideon Coe, who is in Glasgow for a special Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ show linked to the Festival: A 6 Music/Radio Scotland simulcast of 'The Quay Sessions With Roddy Hart And Gideon Coe'.

All that and much more, from two o'clock on Thursday, here on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Scotland
