To mark International Women's Day 2017, Woman's Hour will hear from women around the world. Women from South Africa, India, Turkey and Syria tell us what is on their minds today. We also want to hear from you about what is concerning you right now. Jenni will be joined in the studio by Brita Fernandez-Schmidt, Executive Director, Women for Women International and the anti-FGM campaigner and rights activist Nimco Ali to discuss the status of women around the globe, and what needs to be done to improve lives. The actress and War Child global ambassador Carey Mulligan also joins the programme to discuss the girls she's met at the Za'atari refugee camp in Jordan. Carey will join Jane Garvey for a special Facebook Live straight after the programme.
