The Older People's Commissioner for Wales describes the inappropriate use of antipsychotic medication in care homes - the so-called "chemical cosh"- as a "national scandal",

Three years on from a report that made a series of recommendations to help reduce the prescribing of these powerful drugs to people with dementia, Sarah Rochira is now returning to the issue to see what progress has been made.

She wants to see evidence of significant improvements in practice, warning that, "the time for reports, the time for talking has passed."
