Self Belief

Adventurer cyclist Lee Craigie and Sarah Outen MBE discuss self-belief, asking why some have a large amount and finding out how people can instill it within themselves.

Adventure cyclist Lee Craigie is joined by Sarah Outen MBE in this exploration of self belief. In an honest and compelling conversation Sarah shares the story of her extraordinary journey cycling, kayaking and rowing her way round the world, a journey which took her four and a half years and resulted in incredible highs and lows. What can we learn from Sarah's experiences to apply to our own lives and how might we all tap into the kind of incredible self belief that Sarah draws on?

We explore what is self-belief and why do we have it with Psychologist and leadership coach; asking what happens when our self-belief takes a knock or disappears altogether and how do we work on getting it back on track? If you have lots of self-belief in one particular achievement or part of your life, how transferrable is that to other areas of your life?

And producer Suzy Beaumont meets Simon Harry from the Evanton Community Wood to find out how they try to instill a sense of self-belief in the youngsters they work with.
