Russell Davies welcomes actress Emily Watson to the show as they discuss the pivotal moments in a career ranging from the stage to the big screen.
Beginning her career on stage at the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1992, she went on to star in productions of Twelfth Night and Uncle Vanya at the Donmar Warehouse, and was nominated for the 2003 Olivier Award for Best Actress for the latter. Her other films include The Boxer, Angela's Ashes, Gosford Park, Punch-Drunk Love, Red Dragon, Equilibrium, Corpse Bride, New York, War Horse, The Book Thief, The Theory of Everything and Everest. With numerous award nominations throughout an illustrious career, Emily picked up the TV BAFTA for Best Actress for her role as Janet Leach in the 2011 television biopic, Appropriate Adult.
