Mark Gatiss leads a company of star actors as Scrooge, in a special surround sound adaptation of 'A Christmas Carol,' in this seasonal 'Friday Night Is Music Night' recorded at the Royal Festival Hall. The concert includes six scenes from the Dickens classic, recorded in a new process that aurally puts the audience into the supernatural world of the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. The all star cast includes Lee Ingleby and Rosie Cavaliero as Bob and Mrs Cratchit; Rupert Evans as Scrooge's nephew; Desmond Barrit as the Ghost of Christmas Present and Allan Corduner as Jacob Marley. The music will feature Christmas favourites from Katie Melua and Shaun Escoffrey, together with the outstanding West End stars John Owen Jones (Les Mis, Phantom of the Opera) Rosalie Craig (The Light Princess, Beggars Opera) Louise Dearman (Wicked) plus the 24 voices of the Gori Women's Choir, twelve Capital Voices and the seventy piece Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Concert Orchestra, conducted by Richard Balcombe. Among the Christmas classics, 'White Christmas', 'Sleigh Ride', 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas', the Jose Feliciano classic 'Felice Navidad', and the carols, ' O Holy Night', 'Carol of the Bells' and 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen'.
