Review of the Year
In the last Science CafΓ© before Christmas, Adam Walton looks back over 2016 and selects his favourite moments from the programme.Β They include a chat with the Cardiff University physicists who, a century after Einstein predicted the existence of gravitational waves, were involved in the long-anticipated detection of these ripples in space. We also revisit the 30th birthday celebrations of the Techniquest science discovery centre, we chart the rise of the robots, visit a wild flower meadow and join school students in mid Wales as they put in a call to Tim Peake, the British astronaut who spent six months aboard the International Space Station.
