Steve Levine sits in for Iggy Pop as part of My Generation 1980s.

Steve Levine, 1980s producer of Culture Club and many others, looks at how the technology of the decade - most notably synthesizers and drum machines - reshaped the music scene.

Whilst most musicians had access to the same studio toys, Steve looks at how different regions - and producers - stamped their own distinctive mark on the music produced. From post punk synth exponents in Sheffield to the militant music scene of Leeds, there's plenty to enjoy.
