Drugs workers fear that a bad batch of heroin has led to the deaths of seven people in Gwent in just a week.Β 

The spike in fatal overdoses follows figures revealing a 50 per cent increase in deaths due to drug misuse across Wales in 2015 - after five years of falls.

Much of the current debate about how to how to deal with long-term drug use surrounds the idea of introducing so-called "fix rooms" - a place where users can take drugs while a nurse of doctor is present.Β 

But not everyone thinks they would work in Wales - as Nelli Bird has been finding out.
