It's Film Day! Featuring a review of Sully: Tom Hanks stars as Captain Chesley Sullenberger in a film directed by Clint Eastwood

It's film day with a review of Clint Eastwood's biographical drama film Sully, starring Tom Hanks.

It's film day!

We'll discuss the much anticipated, true-life story Sully: Clint Eastwood's latest stars Tom Hanks as the man who heroically landed a failing US Airways jet on the Hudson River in the winter of 2009.

We'll also review this week's other big cinema releases, including the critically-acclaimed, Bleed For This - Miles Teller stars in this drama, also based on true events, about a boxer who returns to the sport after sustaining serious injuries in a car accident.

And Spike Lee's new film, Chi-Raq: a modern day adaptation of the ancient Greek play Lysistrata by Aristophanes! It's a comedy drama about a group of Illinois women who trigger a global peace movement when they pledge to withhold 'intimate contact' from their partners, in protest against an endless cycle of violence!

Later in the show, we preview 'A Sense of Place' - a new exhibition of Joan Eardley's work at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, and we revisit a cult classic coming back to cinemas this week - David Lynch's, BLUE VELVET, starring Isabella Rossellini, Kyle MacLachlan and Dennis Hopper.

All that and The Cromarty My Favourite Film Festival!! - Director Kevin Macdonald will be on hand to tell us all about it and to discuss his own favourite film!

Don't Miss it!
