Radio 1 & 1Xtra investigates the future of contraception. This summer a study of over a million women found that those on the pill were more likely to suffer from depression. The research led to an outpouring of anecdotes across the news outlets and social media about the unwanted side effects from hormonal contraception; and a feeling that women don't want to suffer in silence any more.
In this programme, presenters Dev and Yasmin investigate the future of contraception. They explore what the alternatives are to the pill (did you know there are 15 types of contraception currently available in the UK?), and whether all the talk of a male pill is going to lead to a contraceptive revolution in the next few years.
