Frank Renton has all the brass news and reviews including a celebration of master arranger Goff Richards by the Foresters Brass Band who draw on all the best players in and around Leicester. With memories of this year's National Championships still fresh in the air, Pageantry by Herbert Howells has been announced as the test piece for the area contests next year for the Championship section which, on a timely reissue, is played by the Yorkshire Building Society Band. Also featured is international euphonium star Steven Mead with music from his new CD Lyrical Virtuoso with Brass Band Buizingen.
