There is a visitor at the Stables, and Alice is clutching at straws.

Shula tells Alan that Alistair's prospective business partner Anisha is visiting today. Alan shares that Rob has been confiding in him, and Alan lets him, because he wants to heal the situation. Shula thinks Rob being isolated is exactly the treatment he deserves.

Later, Alistair shows Anisha around the Stables. The meeting is positive: a practice with stables attached ticks a lot of boxes for Anisha. Shula and Anisha bond - neither of them have been able to take a proper holiday in ages. As Alistair heads off to tend to Bartleby, Shula explains how he marks down his fees for the Grundys. Anisha isn't too sure about that. After her visit, Alistair wonders if Anisha could work in a practice that serves a small, rural community.

Rex fetches Alan some Upper Class Eggs for Usha's aunt's visit. Alice bumps into them and tries to persuade them to join the Christmas show cast. In an attempt to persuade Rex, Alice points out Mother Goose could promote the Fairbrothers' geese. Rex says he cannot speak for Toby - he runs his own life now.
