Scallop fishing, Tesco, Waitrose, Forestry in Scotland

Scallop dredging is to be allowed to resume in Cardigan Bay in Wales following a consultation. The Welsh government says it will be sustainably managed.

Scallop dredging will be allowed to resume in Cardigan Bay in West Wales following an extensive consultation. The process was halted in 2009 amid fears that it harms life on the sea floor. Cardigan Bay has the UK's largest breeding population of dolphins, which feed on organisms in the area.
The Welsh Government commissioned a report by Bangor University, which found that a resumption of dredging would not cause harm to the marine ecosystem if fishing was managed carefully.

And we meet the buyers from one of the UK's biggest supermarket chains to find out what they look for from local producers. It's part of our look at food and farming marketing.

Presented by Anna Hill and produced by Sally Challoner.
