Every child should be screened for an inherited form of heart disease according to researchers from the Queen Mary University of London. A simple blood test carried out when children receive their routine vaccinations could prevent around 600 heart attacks each year in people under the age of 40 in England and Wales. David Wald is the leader researcher on this study.
