Susan searches online for photographers, with sweet-toothed Neil distracted by the biscuit display in the shop. Susan wants a modern and stylish family photo and won't scrimp on the cost. Kenton shows Susan his old, extra large family Archer family photo in the Bull. Susan remarks that the camera can add pounds, which makes her think.
Pat and Tony get Tom to join them to discuss finances - deliberately without Helen as not to overburden her. They want to present Helen with a solution for meeting the expensive legal bills- they'll apply to extend the mortgage (which affects Tom and Helen in future).
Tom's critical of Tony splashing out on a tractor, but Pat points out just how hard Tony is finding it, having to deal with Rob over parental access. Tony needs a hobby to distract himself. Pat also fishes for info about Tom and Kirsty but Tom says they're just friends.
Susan has the idea to try a London photographer who did the photos of Chris for his diploma ceremony. Susan also gossips to Neil about the Christmas show - Lynda's jealous of Alice making things look so easy in her absence. To look their best for the photograph, Susan decides to put Neil on a diet - and she'll do it with him.
