The military offensive to reclaim the northern Iraqi city Mosul from so-called Islamic State is entering its sixth day. So far, almost 2,000 people have fled their homes according to the UNHCR, with many heading south, but some one million civilians may remain in Mosul. Plaid Cymru’s autumn conference in Llangollen draws to a close today with a keynote speech from party leader Leanne Wood. It is expected she will address her party's willingness to work with Labour in the Welsh Assembly, with or without a formal coalition. Leanne Wood is the leader of Plaid Cymru.

The FBI is investigating a series of cyber-attacks which meant people were unable to access leading web sites the cause of cyber-attacks on internet infrastructure company Dyn on Friday, which has disrupted access to dozens of websites including PayPal, Twitter and Spotify, a law enforcement official said.
