Clara Amfo was first handed the keys to Radio 1's famous Live Lounge in May 2015 and has been presenting the mid-morning show ever since. One thing even regular listeners to her show may not realise though is that she's also secretly a huge fan of musicals!
In this programme for Radio 1 & 1Xtra Stories Clara explores how the musical has been reinvented in the 21st century.
She visits the set of hip-hop show In The Heights, as well as profiling Oliva Tweest, Britain's first Afrobeat musical. And three people from the Brit School tell us how they think musicals could become more successful than football...
