Adam is desperate to speak to Ian, and Lynda appeals to Kate's creative flair.
Kate drops off more leaflets at Grey Gables and sees Ian. She wants to give him some advice but he's in a hurry to get home. Lynda learns that Kate has a lot of spare time on her hands and asks her to be her assistant director for the Christmas Show. Kate is unsure. Lynda reminds her that even as a teenager she showed real theatrical flair.
Susan watches Robert closely as he serves Adam in the shop. He insists he's helping out strictly as one-off emergency cover. Susan doesn't hold back in bringing up how they are both aging. Neil joins Susan and Robert in the shop. He suggests they have a family portrait done so that Susan can forget about her Calendar Girls photo. Robert helpfully informs her professional photographers can work miracles with lighting! Susan starts to plan outfits, hair-dos and poses.
Adam calls at Honeysuckle Cottage while Ian is there. To Ian's surprise, Adam asks him about his job offer in Edinburgh. Adam is desperate for their marriage not to end. Ian says he's turned down the job offer - he can't leave Ambridge yet, he loves Adam too much. They have a lot of work to do and it starts with Adam moving back in.
