The American composer Steve Reich will be celebrating his 80th birthday next week. As he prepares to attend a series of events around the UK to mark his eight decades, the influential pioneer of minimal music looks back over his career, including his compositions It's Gonna Rain, Drumming, Clapping Music, and Different Trains.
