Young Folk Award winner Brìghde Chaimbeul performs live, as Mark opens the 2017 contest for entries.

2016 Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 2 Young Folk Award winner Brìghde is in session, as Mark opens the 2017 contest for entries.

Brìghde is a superb piper from the Isle of Skye. She performs alongside her sister Màiri on harp and Innes White on guitar.

The Young Folk Award is Radio 2's annual search for the best young folk and acoustic musicians in the UK. To enter you must be aged between 16 and 21, play folk, roots or acoustic music of any kind, and be resident in the UK, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands.
