Call You and Yours: Has The Ban On Legal Highs Made A Difference To Your Area?

Consumer phone-in.

They used to be called "legal highs" - psychoactive substances that were freely available online or in specialist shops. Since May anybody producing or supplying these faces prison. But inspite of the ban, research by Radio 4's File on 4 suggests that they are still readily available and flowing freely into the UK.

Have you or a family member used any of these so-called "legal highs". Is this ban working? Hundreds of shops selling the substances have been closed down in the past three months and police say that almost two hundred arrests have been made. Is this clearing up the problem or, as some campaigners argue, driven the problem underground.

Have you noticed a change in your locality - have so-called "head shops" closed down? Are you noticing fewer of the tell-tale packagings in gutters or parks? Is the ban working? Maybe you're a police officer who's seen a difference on the street? Or has it just been driven underground? Email us with your experience - youandyours@bbc.co.uk and remember to leave your phone number so we can call you back. And join Winifred Robinson for the programme at 12.15pm on Tuesday.
