Billy Sloan plays the very best in pop and rock music from Scotland's greats as well as the rest of the world with regular features Spin The Globe and Early Morning Soul. In this weekend's Musical Chairs feature Billy highlights the career of Joe Strummer - singer/songwriter and guitarist who was best known as the co-founder and member of the punk rock band The Clash and also associated with The 101'ers The Mescaleros, Big Audio Dynamite, The Pogues, Black Grape, Jools Holland, Babyshambles, Jimmy Cliff, Johnny Cash and Michael Hutchence. The Live and Dangerous tracks are from The Zombies album 'Odessey and Oracle (Revisited), The 40th Anniversary Concert'. In Movie Moment Billy's playing 'Streets of Philadelphia by Bruce Springsteen from the movie 'Philadelphia' and in Classic Songwriters, there's tracks from the pen of the late singer/songwriter Tim Hardin.
