Music from King Creosote, comedy from Showstopper! The Improvised Musical and author Paul Morley discussing David Bowie
Janice Forsyth has music from King Creosote and comedy from Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, plus author Paul Morley discusses David Bowie.
The Janice Forsyth Show's Thursday offering at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Blue Tent promises to brighten up your afternoon whether you're in the audience or listening on the radio!
She'll have music and comedy from the achingly funny Showstopper! The Improvised Musical - a brand new musical is created from scratch at every performance of this multi award-winning show!
There will also be music from the brilliant King Creosote, more comic madcappery with the 'knight errant of the dizzy non-sequitur' Tony Law, and Paul Morley, musician, critic and one of the team who curated the massively successful V&A exhibition, on David Bowie discusses the late, great singer's life, legend and legacy: which he explores in this new biography, Age of Bowie. Actor, singer and former NME Male Vocalist of the Year, Oliver Darley will provide some suitably Bowie-esque musical accompaniment and tell us about his show 'Simply Bowie.
We'll also have our usual weekly movie reviews, and both film maker, Mark Cousins and Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai preview the upcoming appearance of Mogwai live on stage at the Edinburgh Playhouse - where they will be performing their majestic new soundtrack to Mark's provocative documentary Atomic: Living in Dread and Promise .
Don't Miss it!
